We are a dedicated professional organization committed to the advancement and protection of clinical social work practice throughout the state of Louisiana. Our Purpose

The LACSW serves as a strategic partner for clinical social workers, providing the infrastructure and advocacy necessary for professional excellence. Our core mission is defined by several key pillars of service:

•  Professional Advocacy: We actively monitor and influence state legislative actions to protect the clinical social work profession and the clients we serve.

• Continuing Education: As an approved CEU provider through March 2028, we establish and offer high-quality training and serve as a clearinghouse for clinical social work programs.

• Managed Care Navigation: We provide essential information, guidance, and support to members interfacing with managed care companies, ensuring that practitioners can navigate complex systems effectively.

• Community and Collaboration: We facilitate professional growth through recruitment, active participation across all regions of Louisiana, and the maintenance of a membership directory to assist in peer referrals.

•  Ethical Leadership: Our leadership, comprised of an experienced Executive Board and dedicated committees, ensures that the organization remains a reliable resource for clinical standards and professional ethics.
